Running Accomplishments:

Once beat Cheryl at the Hobble Creek Half Marathon about three years ago, and kept up with Peggy for 100m four years ago. Completion of 52 marathons to date.

I enjoy the marathon distance. It demands consistency in training and provides a constant goal to work towards. Could not run without the support of my great family and friends.

Short-Term Running Goals:

Stay healthy would be the number one goal. To accomplish this long-term feat I need to cross-train and add strength training into the mix.

Long-Term Running Goals:

Someday I would like to qualify for Boston although at the moment it seems very tough!

Personal:

Love running, music, art, food, friends and family in no particular order it just depends on the day.

Met the BBK's at the South Jordan library for a 4 mile tune-up. It was nice to run at an easy pace. We were in the low to mid 9-minute miles the entire team. I can hang with the group at that kind of speed. My knee is killing me! I need to ice and wrap it this evening and take the rest of the week off. This crap always pops up right before the biggest marathon of the year.

I'm hearing you on these injuries just before the race! What is it about the taper that causes the body to break down when it's fine at 60+ miles/week?

RAD, Ready for Saturday? It is crazy, right when tapering all the injuries start to flare up. I have had my knee wrapped and iced all day long. It does seem to be helping.
