Running Accomplishments:

Once beat Cheryl at the Hobble Creek Half Marathon about three years ago, and kept up with Peggy for 100m four years ago. Completion of 52 marathons to date.

I enjoy the marathon distance. It demands consistency in training and provides a constant goal to work towards. Could not run without the support of my great family and friends.

Short-Term Running Goals:

Stay healthy would be the number one goal. To accomplish this long-term feat I need to cross-train and add strength training into the mix.

Long-Term Running Goals:

Someday I would like to qualify for Boston although at the moment it seems very tough!

Personal:

Love running, music, art, food, friends and family in no particular order it just depends on the day.

Race: St. George Marathon (26.2 Miles) 04:39:00
Total Distance
26.20

Back at the St. George Marathon. This is number 7 for me. I felt good and had taken plenty of time to stretch and loosen up. I felt great during the race and kept a fairly even pace. At mile 24 my big toe started to cramp up and have a shooting pain. I had to stop and stretch out my foot and then things improve.

This was not one of my fastest races but I enjoyed being around a ton of runners and visiting with friends after the race. I especially enjoyed the ice cream at the Blue Bunny booth.

Nice work Eric! It was great to run into you at the start, looks like the race was a good one for you. The heat was killer and I thought about you a couple times (as I felt dehydrated and hot), knowing how much you sweat I figured it was doubly hard for you!

I was surprised to feel go during the entire run. I did end up pouring lots of the warm water over the top of my head. It helped to cool things down. It was a warm day a thought it slowed me down a bit.

Looking over everyone's times, it looks like it was a great day for a run.

The water was cold for me, and I dumped it on my head, too!!!! I guess they needed more ice.
