Running Accomplishments:

Once beat Cheryl at the Hobble Creek Half Marathon about three years ago, and kept up with Peggy for 100m four years ago. Completion of 52 marathons to date.

I enjoy the marathon distance. It demands consistency in training and provides a constant goal to work towards. Could not run without the support of my great family and friends.

Short-Term Running Goals:

Stay healthy would be the number one goal. To accomplish this long-term feat I need to cross-train and add strength training into the mix.

Long-Term Running Goals:

Someday I would like to qualify for Boston although at the moment it seems very tough!

Personal:

Love running, music, art, food, friends and family in no particular order it just depends on the day.

Up at 5am but not to go to running group. I really miss those runs. I had to stay home with the kids since my wife had an early day at work. Very sore from my workout last evening so this one was very slow. We are talking 12 minute miles. I listened to "Once a Runner" on my iPod and was very entertained. Will most likely do some core and stretching this evening.

It is Fall once more, my favorite time of year. I love the smell of the Autumn air and the coolness of the earth. This is my creative time.

Hi Eric, nice to see you blogging again, even though I'm not. It sounds like you're still doing TOSH. How is that going? I wish I could do all that fun stuff, but I found out the other day I have a meniscus tear, so it looks like surgery for me. You've been thru that before, right? Any advice you can give me?

My favorite time of year as well!!!

We miss you at running group (and you, too, Cheryl!)

Cheryl, nice to hear from you. The meniscus surgery is really simple and is a quick recovery. I was jogging within 2 weeks and running within 6. The surgeon told me that cross training is very important in recovery process. You have always been great about mixing it up. Please keep me up to date with your knee.

Also, still going to TOSH. I am doing plyo this time around. I enjoy being around the other athletes and trainers.

Thanks Eric. Good to know that it's simple surgery, it makes me less nervous. I'm scheduled to go in next Tuesday. My doctor says I'll be running again in a month. I like TOSH also and miss going there. Good luck with everything in your life.
