Running Accomplishments:

Once beat Cheryl at the Hobble Creek Half Marathon about three years ago, and kept up with Peggy for 100m four years ago. Completion of 52 marathons to date.

I enjoy the marathon distance. It demands consistency in training and provides a constant goal to work towards. Could not run without the support of my great family and friends.

Short-Term Running Goals:

Stay healthy would be the number one goal. To accomplish this long-term feat I need to cross-train and add strength training into the mix.

Long-Term Running Goals:

Someday I would like to qualify for Boston although at the moment it seems very tough!

Personal:

Love running, music, art, food, friends and family in no particular order it just depends on the day.

I had to wait to see my Cougars get ripped apart by a great Ute Defense and a quarterback and receiver squad that just made too many mistakes. What a cap to a year, the Democrats win the presidency and the Utes win the conference. I hope next year is better than this one.

Okay, that is enough of my temper tantrum. The morning started out great. I met Cheris, Michelle, Peggy, Julie and Wade for a nice morning run. It went by very quickly and I pushed pretty hard to keep up with them. About 7 miles into the run I really started to slow down but did my best. I think it is good to run with faster runners because it mentally beats you into shape. Either you hang in there or quit. I am trying to make myself hang-in-there. This evening I got very anxious during the game and went for a run.

Yeah, what a year, both the Democrats and Utes winning. What is our world coming to??

Cheryl,

Yup, the world is going to Hell in a handbasket. I seem pessimistic but in the spirit of the Thanksgiving Season I am grateful for the ability to run because of the diversion that provides. Better luck next year for the Cougs and hopefully our nation is around for another presidential election.

Did you do a quick half time run or what?

Funny stuff, but you will have to wait 4 years on the whole democrat thing. Good thing it is just one year to a replay!

Kelli, yes, it was a half-time run. The Cougs always play better when I am not watching. Next year I am going to plan a very long run.

On the Democrat side of things, hopefully there is still a country left in four years. We might be a subsidiary of China by then.

Funny, funny! Our country is a mess no matter who leads it. Our debt is staggering---they MAY own us one day!

Didn't the cougars play worse in the second half (just going by the score, I did not actually watch it)??
