Running Accomplishments:

Once beat Cheryl at the Hobble Creek Half Marathon about three years ago, and kept up with Peggy for 100m four years ago. Completion of 52 marathons to date.

I enjoy the marathon distance. It demands consistency in training and provides a constant goal to work towards. Could not run without the support of my great family and friends.

Short-Term Running Goals:

Stay healthy would be the number one goal. To accomplish this long-term feat I need to cross-train and add strength training into the mix.

Long-Term Running Goals:

Someday I would like to qualify for Boston although at the moment it seems very tough!

Personal:

Love running, music, art, food, friends and family in no particular order it just depends on the day.

Met my friend Rob for an early morning run. It was gently raining outside which made it a bit miserable but the conversation was great. Talked a lot about politics and some guitar effects products that are in the works. Pretty exciting stuff. Makes me want to plug my guitar into a 1000 stack and blow out some windows.

Afternoon run in the rain. Chased some very fast runners down the canyon. I think the predator style runs that were talked about in this month's Runner's World are a great motivator. Hopefully these people are too freaked out that I am trying to catch up to them. I always make sure they are men and not women. Don't want to get maced or anything painful like that.

You do want to get maced? Peggy will probably oblige. Really, I know that was just an omitted word there. I wish I was close enough to run City Creek or Mill Creek or one of those canyons. Those are great runs. Keep it up and you'll be the one we're all trying to catch at the group.
