Running Accomplishments:

Once beat Cheryl at the Hobble Creek Half Marathon about three years ago, and kept up with Peggy for 100m four years ago. Completion of 52 marathons to date.

I enjoy the marathon distance. It demands consistency in training and provides a constant goal to work towards. Could not run without the support of my great family and friends.

Short-Term Running Goals:

Stay healthy would be the number one goal. To accomplish this long-term feat I need to cross-train and add strength training into the mix.

Long-Term Running Goals:

Someday I would like to qualify for Boston although at the moment it seems very tough!

Personal:

Love running, music, art, food, friends and family in no particular order it just depends on the day.

Nice afternoon run. The snow and rain finally let down so I ventured outside for a run up the canyon. Almost nobody around which made it very nice, just a few dog walkers and that was about it. I took it pretty easy today, nursing a sinus infection. Now that I am finished there is some relief from the pressure but now it is draining like a faucet. I am not complaining, draining is great. Hopefully things will get back to normal pretty soon. Between work and a sinus infection it seems like both ends of the candle are burning. Looking forward to getting back to the group latter this week.

Sorry about the sinus infection--hope you're feeling better. When you miss the group I don't feel so bad about missing the group. But still try and go often, don't let me keep you away. I just don't want everyone to have too much fun while I'm away.

Cheryl, Oh, don't worry about us having too much fun. We are still running pretty hard. I love running with the group, and I like the afternoon runs that I have been able to schedule as well.

Those two a days are great--they are supposed to really help with getting faster and running better. Especially if you can run up a canyon like City Creek regularly.

Missed you today! Bummer.

Hope you are feeling better and only one end of the candle is burning.

Kelli, Cheryl, Sorry I missed todays run as well. I am finishing up a huge project and it will be completed this weekend. Then I promise to get more sleep and come to running group. The things we do to pay the mortgage.

I really do enjoy City Creek and feel spoiled to work across the street from such a beautiful all natural treadmill. I can tell a huge difference in the leg strength and speed. It seems the hills are paying off, but you know that from the Parkway Palisade workouts.

All natural treadmill---I like that! You are spoiled!
