Probably just finished one of the most brutal runs of my life. At least every part of me hurts! Alan, Debbie and I ran to the summit of Butterfield Canyon which was about 6 and a half miles from the gate. About 3.5 miles in the incline gets rough and so does the road. It feels like a wonderful accomplishment and would running those hills in St. George a breeze with enough practice. Downhill was painful and reminded me of the first of the Deseret News Marathon where it feels like you are jumping off a cliff. Saw Walter and several other runners along the way. It must be a popular run. It was breezy with a touch of rain which made for a very nice September morning.
