Running Accomplishments:

Once beat Cheryl at the Hobble Creek Half Marathon about three years ago, and kept up with Peggy for 100m four years ago. Completion of 52 marathons to date.

I enjoy the marathon distance. It demands consistency in training and provides a constant goal to work towards. Could not run without the support of my great family and friends.

Short-Term Running Goals:

Stay healthy would be the number one goal. To accomplish this long-term feat I need to cross-train and add strength training into the mix.

Long-Term Running Goals:

Someday I would like to qualify for Boston although at the moment it seems very tough!

Personal:

Love running, music, art, food, friends and family in no particular order it just depends on the day.

Wow! Do I feel crappy! I woke up this morning feeling so sore and hungover (sinus infection induced) that I rolled over and went back to bed. I felt really bad because I have not seen my friends from running group in over a week. I wish things would improve, but the weather probably needs to warm up.

I went ice skating with the Young Men on Tuesday evening and it was a ton of fun but it obviously working some muscles that have not been used in quite a while. If I got in the habit of skating my core would get really strong pretty quick. Not a bad idea, I might start taking my kids. But the next couple of days I have been really sore and it will take a while for it to wear off.

I am going to Indiana this weekend to see my niece be blessed so I will miss out on the weekend workout but will hopefully get a run in with my brother.

This afternoon I did go out for a run up the canyon. Loaded up on sudafed and Diet Coke I was feeling no pain and ready to go. It was a really slow work-out but felt good to ease back into things.

That Sudafed makes me so tired!!! I am so sorry you are not feeling well, maybe a change in climate will help (although I do not know the climate in Indiana). Have fun and hopefully we will see you soon.

Eric, I can't believe you felt so crappy and still got in 6.5. I probably would've stayed home in bed ALL day! Isn't it funny how you think you're in great shape and then you do something that you think is easy (like skating) and are sore for days?!? Have a great time in IN, I agree with Kelli that is should help clear things up a bit for you! Enjoy your 'recovery'.

Eric, have fun in Indiana. Hopefully you will come back feeling over your sinus issues. We hope to see you soon at the group!!
