Running Accomplishments:

Once beat Cheryl at the Hobble Creek Half Marathon about three years ago, and kept up with Peggy for 100m four years ago. Completion of 52 marathons to date.

I enjoy the marathon distance. It demands consistency in training and provides a constant goal to work towards. Could not run without the support of my great family and friends.

Short-Term Running Goals:

Stay healthy would be the number one goal. To accomplish this long-term feat I need to cross-train and add strength training into the mix.

Long-Term Running Goals:

Someday I would like to qualify for Boston although at the moment it seems very tough!

Personal:

Love running, music, art, food, friends and family in no particular order it just depends on the day.

My trip to Indiana was a welcome break from the normal routine. It was very cold and they had an unusual amount of snow but the air was absolutely clean!

It was great to see my brother's family and meet my new neice. She is a keeper! We had a great time and crammed as much stuff into three days as possible.

This morning I woke up and it was -8 outside. I called my brother and asked if he wanted to wait a little while for it to warm up. When the temperature rose to a balmy 10 degrees we headed out for a run. We can through the country passing barns, farm houses and little narrow country roads. Simple beautiful. The BBK's would love training out on the hills because there were plenty of them.

I am getting excited to come back in December and run the Tecumseh Trail Marathon in December and experience it all over again.

wow! sounds beautiful, one of my favorite parts of running is being able to look around and see the beauty of the world! I still can't believe you ran in 10 degrees, BRRRR! Now I'm happy about my 30 degree run on Sat, I won't complain any more!!

I once went to Indiana while my husband was working on Holiday Inns. I thought it was beautiful. What part of Indiana does you brother live in? Is he a runner like you are?

My brother lives in southern Indiana in a town called Bloomington. It has gentle rolling hills (unless you are running on them) and green grass and trees everywhere. Fall is simply amazing. My brother is a marathon runner and we have run two together.
