Running Accomplishments:

Once beat Cheryl at the Hobble Creek Half Marathon about three years ago, and kept up with Peggy for 100m four years ago. Completion of 52 marathons to date.

I enjoy the marathon distance. It demands consistency in training and provides a constant goal to work towards. Could not run without the support of my great family and friends.

Short-Term Running Goals:

Stay healthy would be the number one goal. To accomplish this long-term feat I need to cross-train and add strength training into the mix.

Long-Term Running Goals:

Someday I would like to qualify for Boston although at the moment it seems very tough!

Personal:

Love running, music, art, food, friends and family in no particular order it just depends on the day.

Very quick run around the neighborhood before getting ready for work. It was very breezy with what appears to be snow falling on the mountains. Hopefully the snow falls in the valley and makes it look like Christmas again. I was running with my ipod but the headphones had a short in them which became very annoying so I just turned the music off and listened to my breathing and footsteps. Listening to one's body is pretty interesting in its own way. This machine of mine may be getting old but it still works.

Isn't this a beautiful blessing we've been given? When I get to think about it, I'm so grateful that I can even run ... no matter the speed or distance, I can just do it whenever I want because I've been so greatly blessed. I do have to disagree on the snow, it can stay in the mountains I'm done shoveling. Great way to get in a little run to get your mileage in! See you Tuesday.
