Running Accomplishments:

Once beat Cheryl at the Hobble Creek Half Marathon about three years ago, and kept up with Peggy for 100m four years ago. Completion of 52 marathons to date.

I enjoy the marathon distance. It demands consistency in training and provides a constant goal to work towards. Could not run without the support of my great family and friends.

Short-Term Running Goals:

Stay healthy would be the number one goal. To accomplish this long-term feat I need to cross-train and add strength training into the mix.

Long-Term Running Goals:

Someday I would like to qualify for Boston although at the moment it seems very tough!

Personal:

Love running, music, art, food, friends and family in no particular order it just depends on the day.

Worked all through the night to complete a project which was a totally stupid idea but the things we do to provide for our families. About 5:00am I headed out for a run. It was incredible! A light rain had just fallen and everything smelled brand new and clean. I have been able to drop about 10 pounds so I was feeling pretty fast overall. When I looked at the average speed I was in the 8:45 - 9:00 minute range which is flying for an old slow guy like me. When I came home the bed was calling to me and ended up sleeping for several hours. Thank goodness it was Memorial Day.

This is the first Memorial Day that I had an actual family member to place flowers on their grave. My little family went to the Murray City Cemetery and planted flowers on our stillborn son's grave. It was amazing because his grave was covered with flowers when we arrived. It was very comforting to know that other's recognized our little boy and were thinking of him. We placed some white lillies and yellow daisies. They looked nice.
