Running Accomplishments:

Once beat Cheryl at the Hobble Creek Half Marathon about three years ago, and kept up with Peggy for 100m four years ago. Completion of 52 marathons to date.

I enjoy the marathon distance. It demands consistency in training and provides a constant goal to work towards. Could not run without the support of my great family and friends.

Short-Term Running Goals:

Stay healthy would be the number one goal. To accomplish this long-term feat I need to cross-train and add strength training into the mix.

Long-Term Running Goals:

Someday I would like to qualify for Boston although at the moment it seems very tough!

Personal:

Love running, music, art, food, friends and family in no particular order it just depends on the day.

Awoke early and ran around the neighborhood. I started out slowly to work out the stiffness from the marathon. After about four miles I kicked it up a notch and hit about a 8:30 mile for the rest of the workout.

This afternoon was wonderful! I ran up City Creek for a 4 mile run. It was slow, just trying to work-out the kinks.

Meant to get up early and make it to running group this morning but somehow there was a power outage and the alarm clock failed to go off. Kind of a bummer, at least there will be an opportunity to meet again on Thursday morning.

I opted to run up City Creek this afternoon and it was a perfect day! Must have been in the low seventies and I even had to stop and take a drink at the gate. I even felt strong during the run so there are good things ahead.

Great day for running. This morning was perfect and this afternoon was very nice once again. No wind or rain although I understand it is on its way. I am leaving to Scottsdale for the weekend and will miss all the crappy weather. Looking forward to some rest.

Early morning run with the group. It was very pleasant along the Jordan River Parkway for this time of year. The wind did start picking up towards the end of the workout because of a storm that is moving in. The first part of the workout was fairly fast and then I ran 5 miles at a slow pace with Debbie and Alan. The recovery for the marathon is seeming to work.
