Running Accomplishments:

Once beat Cheryl at the Hobble Creek Half Marathon about three years ago, and kept up with Peggy for 100m four years ago. Completion of 52 marathons to date.

I enjoy the marathon distance. It demands consistency in training and provides a constant goal to work towards. Could not run without the support of my great family and friends. 

Short-Term Running Goals:

Stay healthy would be the number one goal. To accomplish this long-term feat I need to cross-train and add strength training into the mix.

Long-Term Running Goals:

Someday I would like to qualify for Boston although at the moment it seems very tough!

Personal:

Love running, music, art, food, friends and family in no particular order it just depends on the day.

Afternoon run and I believe it was about 95 degrees. Hard to believe because it has been so cool for so long. I am really glad that Summer has finally arrived. This evening I took my oldest son on a run and my younger boy followed us on the bike. It was a ton of fun and really had a great time visiting with the boys and listening to what they have to say. It is really something that would be fun to do every other day.

Afternoon run with a slight breeze that made running a bit more enjoyable than yesterday. My hamstrings are still tight but not so much as the day before. This evening I started the P90X program which I hope to complete giving it the complete attention that it needs. My goal is to improve my core strength and in return have more strength while running. Typically my abs have been very sore after running and my goal is to remedy the problem.
